UNC Marine Scientists Study at World's Only Underwater Research Station

Two of our professors, Chris Martens and Niels Lindquist, are leading a research team underwater in the Florida Keys. They are in the world’s only underwater research station, Aquarius. The research team also includes our very own Howard Mendlovitz and Dan Hoer- along with three undergraduates from UNC. One of our Post-Docs, Meredith Kintzing, is leading the top side support for the research missions.
